Hi, I'm Jonathan - I want to share the Vibrant Beauty of the Universe with you

Have you ever looked up at the stars and wondered what is up there?

Is there someone else out there looking back, thinking the exact same thing?

I grew up on a farm on the outskirts of a Yorkshire town and as a child, on warm summer nights I would lie on my back in the garden and stare upwards at the sky pondering the mysteries of the Cosmos.

It brought me peace and a sense of tranquillity to imagine what worlds and perhaps other forms of life there might be out there.

Fast-forward to Peru, May 2012, it was the first night of a hike along the 41km Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

The camp was at 3000m elevation, but still surrounded by towering mountains, the group was relaxing around the crackling fire and then suddenly I heard a gasp.

My first thought was, someone had been surprised by one of the sizeable local creepy crawlies, but people started to point upwards.

I looked up and was met with a truly jaw-dropping sight, an infinite ocean of twinkling, glistening stars with the majestic Milky Way flowing through it.

Once again, I felt that same wonder I did when I was a boy, how many other worlds there might be orbiting the plethora of stars up there, how many wondrous things and possibilities were there?

I had never seen anything like this before, it took my breath away, that all of this was visible to the naked eye!

Suddenly, I noticed on the ground that I could see my shadow.

But my shadow was not being cast from our small campfire. Something from the night sky above was creating shadows.

But how? There was no Moon in the sky, no other light sources as everyone had turned off their head torches, it was the bright core of the Milky Way!

I could hear more reactions of astonishment from the group, as many of us had grown up in cities and had never seen more than only the few brightest stars.

This incredible experience set me on the path to learn more about Astrophotography, getting the specialised equipment and software which allowed me to capture the beauty of the building blocks of nature and creation.

Then in 2023 two of my images reached the finals of the Astronomy Photographer of the Year Award, here is one of them, featured in the exhibition. I couldn’t believe it, how far I had come on this journey.

It is my goal to connect as many people as possible with the vast, beautiful and vibrant Universe that we all share and live in.

I created this collection so that hopefully you can also be inspired by the elegance of the Cosmos as much as I am.

If you feel the same sense of wonder at what mysteries are out there when you look up at the night sky, I invite you to take advantage of this offer.

The Nebula Collection

The Nebula Collection is four Astro-photographs that give a sense of the large diversity of nebulae out there in the Cosmos.

Each Astronomy photograph is created through several hours of meticulous processing. The images are captured by specialised cameras attached to powerful telescopes at some of the darkest night sky locations on Earth. After many hours of exposures, the mysteries of the cosmos are revealed in great detail.

The four pieces have been carefully chosen to be displayed individually or to complement each other as a full set, adding colourful and detailed focal points to your space.

These beautiful structures of new star formation aim to be thought-provoking, bring inspiration and have a calming effect in your home or workplace.
